As the website’s mission statement implies: Polio Australia provides quality information and facilitates service provision across Australia ensuring that polio survivors have access to appropriate health care and the support required to maintain independence and make informed lifestyle choices.

The site provides education through a variety of media including video clips and news about polio survivors and their support groups across Australia. They include Post-Polio Network (NSW) Inc; Polio Network Victoria; Spinal Injuries Association Inc; Polio SA Inc; Post Polio Network of WA Inc; and Post Polio Network - Tasmania Inc.

Featured at length are interviews with polio health care professionals, physical therapists, psychological counselors and polio survivors themselves living with the late effects of polio and post-polio syndrome. Updated reports of polio incidence around the globe and very recent polio immunization efforts are highlighted.
