Geeta Castelino

Ms Castelino became a lecturer at the age of 18 and principal at the age of 32 and is pursuing three careers- one as a consulting social psychologist, as an educationist and as a corporate trainer in the field of design and fashion technology.

Until June 2006, she was Consulting Director for L.S.Raheja School of Art, and conceived and designed the curriculum. She launched its Worli college in 1998, and has been on various educational boards in different universities in India. She has taught History of Indian Costume and Textiles in Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland. She was the Fashion Editor of the lifestyle magazine, btw - by the way. She writes a column, 'Fashion-Passion,' in Loksatta-VIVA.

She has won 9 national awards, 4 state awards and 5 international awards in Art & Design. She was the Vice President (Merchandise) of a renowned and prestigious firm, heading its Design and Merchandise House till 2008. Ms Castelino won the Maharashtra State Hirkani Award in February 2008.
